Aron Katsenelinboigen was born in the Ukraine and studied at the Moscow State Economic Institute. Since his emigration to the United States, Dr. Katsenelinboigen has taught at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of 17 books including, most recently, Indeterministic Economics (1992) and Evolutionary Change (1997).

Matthew G. Mandelbaum was born in Livingston, New Jersey. As a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, he has studied at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a student of Dr. Katsenelinboigen. Mr. Mandelbaum is the 1996 recipient of the University's Phi Beta Kappa Humanities Prize.
